I think what you published was actually very reasonable. But, what about this? what if you were to create a awesome headline? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your website, however suppose you added a title that grabbed people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You could glance at Yahoo's home page and see how they create article titles to get viewers to open the links. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to get people excited about everything've got to say. Just my opinion, it might bring your posts a little livelier.
